The Plan Potential Journey – Cashflow and Assets chart shows high returns in some of the years of the weak outcome. I expected to only see low returns. Can you explain?

The Weak outcome does not mean that there were poor market conditions and low returns for the life of the plan. 

It means that at the end of the term of the plan the client’s remaining assets value was low i.e. the 50^th lowest out of the 1000 scenarios.

However, you could still see years where there has been extremely high growth and vice versa.

The potential journey charts are there to show you a possible journey however they should never be looked at in isolation but in conjunction with the range of outcomes charts.
